           Christmas in the Stable

The toilet on the cruise ship was closed
      For cleaning.
Toilets flushed,
      A mop banged against the door.

Waiting in the hall, I could hear the maid singing,
      "Silent night, holy night,
      All is calm...."

She cleaned my heart, renewed my spirit.
