i felt a lively understandable spirit this morning in front of the blessed sacrament with the sisters
i had forgotten all about it after being consumed in my REI shopping spree
thanks for the reminder
what was it that i heard this morning? i want to remember
something like a cairn along the trail or a yellow arrow or scallop shell reassuring me that i am on a path that is leading in a worthwhile direction
i was encouraged to press on
something also struck my mind thinking back to yesterday's reading on the body of the christ-- an awareness of how it could appear that we Protestants have said to the Catholic side of the body: "we don't need you"
that can't be right
that could only be said out of dire desperation
perhaps now in less desperate times the protestant statement could be re-examined
