There are worse things than being in a bunker
I think to myself as I walk across the fairway
to that familiar tan valley.
On getting a bit closer, I correct myself:
There are worse things than being in a bunker
with a downhill lie.
One hundred and ten yards to the pin
and with equal parts hope and fear
I select the seven iron.
In an explosion of sand,
a low line drive hits the lip of the trap,
and bounces back to my feet.
There are worse things
there are...
worse things
than being in a bunker
with a downhill lie,
in soft sand.
But right now,
I can't think of even one.

Not at all. Your title is very appropriate, although I'll admit that when I first saw it, the first thought in my head was about links in web pages :-).
Peace
